The Golf Estateoffers ample space for friends or family: Your journeys will ooze comfort thanks to seat covers made from fabric, ArtVelours or the optional ventilated leather seats. Enjoy comprehensive infotainment on an optional 32.7 cm (12.9 inch) infotainment display and enjoy the benefits of the multifunctional steering wheel with classic push buttons.
You can expect a generous storage volume of up to 1,642 litres with the Golf Estate. Meanwhile, the optional Easy Open & Close function allows you to open and close the boot even if you don’t have a hand free: just the smallest movement of your foot under the rear of your car is enough.
Park Assist Plus
Not only can your Volkswagen with optional Park Assist Plus tell you as you drive by whether a parking space is big enough – it can also drive into the parking space for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h Park Assist Plus permanently searches for suitable parallel parking spaces. Up to a speed of 20 km/h it also searches for parking bays.
Once you have decided on one of the parking spaces found, you start the parking process, with Park Assist Plus carrying out the parking manoeuvre for you. It takes over both the steering and acceleration and braking. You only have to monitor the parking process and intervene if necessary.
But Park Assist Plus can do even more. It can also drive out of a parallel parking space again and can help you with a failed parking maneuver by completing the process for you.
Park Assist Pro
Park Assist Pro not only offers all the advantages of Park Assist Plus, it also allows you to control the process of driving in and out of the parking space from your smartphone. You just need to install the Park Assist Pro app on your smartphone.
Once your Volkswagen finds a suitable parking space, you can get out of the car and start the parking process from outside via your smartphone. You can also control the process of driving out of a parking space remotely and no longer need to squeeze into tight spaces when getting into the car.
Manoeuvring in the busy city centre, in a multi-storey car park or in rough terrain: there are many situations in which drivers could use a few extra eyes. With the optional Area View you get them in the form of four cameras that capture the area around the vehicle and transfer helpful information to the screen of the infotainment system. For example, you can see kerbs or parking markings better and even look around the corner.
