£1,500 Škoda Electric Car Grant Guarantee

Electric Car Grant now available

In July 2025, the UK Government announced an Electric Car Grant scheme offering funding for UK buyers of certain battery electric vehicles which meet criteria relating to pricing and environmental impact (among others).

A number of Škoda Elroq and Enyaq cars have met the 'Band 2' criteria, allowing you to enjoy a £1,500‡ saving on a wide range of Škoda’s award-winning cars.

  • Elroq; SE, SE L, Edition & SportLine (includes all 50, 60 & 85 batteries)
  • Enyaq; SE L (60 & 85), Edition (60 only)

The £1,500 discount will be automatically applied by the Škoda retailer at point of order. So you don’t need to do anything: except jumping into electric at an even more attractive price.

UK only. Selected Elroq and Enyaq models. Vehicle eligibility & figure correct as at 02/09/2025. Grant provided by UK Government, may be replaced, withdrawn or amended at any time.

Your high voltage battery warranty

All Škoda electric vehicles come with a high-voltage battery warranty that lasts for 8 years or up to 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, protecting against all material or workmanship defects. This warranty is in addition to your Škoda new car warranty.

Škoda vehicles purchased with the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) electric car grant from 2025 onwards have two further benefits:

1. Additional coverage for your high-voltage battery warranty. If your high-voltage battery drops below 80% capacity within three years or 40,000 miles (whichever comes first), or below 70% during the remaining warranty period, we’ll repair or replace at no additional cost, keeping your vehicle performing at its best.

2. Option to extend your high-voltage battery warranty once cover ends. For extra peace of mind, you will have the option to purchase a two-year battery warranty extension. T&Cs apply. Information correct at the time of publication, 02/09/2025.

For more information about our new car and battery warranties, please refer to the new car warranty policy available here.

Road tax savings for electric cars

Driving a low-emission vehicle can dramatically reduce the amount of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), commonly known as the road tax, you pay. Zero-emission vehicles will be charged at the lowest rate of £10 for the first year.

Electric car charging grants for home

Off-street parking

If your home has off-street parking, a wall-box can charge your electric vehicle faster than a standard 3-pin domestic plug. The Government offers a grant that supports the cost of the charger. The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme supports up to 75% of the cost, capped at £350 including VAT, off the installation price. The electric vehicle home charge scheme grant is now only available to rental or leasehold properties.

On-street parking

This grant provides electric vehicle (EV) drivers with support towards the costs of the purchase and installation of EV chargepoints at residential properties if they are also installing a cross-pavement charging solution. An electric vehicle chargepoint grant can help towards the cost of installing an electric vehicle chargepoint socket at your property. You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350.
