​ŠKODA has once again proved its strength in depth by driving off with no fewer than three major category titles in the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2023. The judging panel found the FABIA, OCTAVIA Estate and KODIAQ to be unbeatable in their respective sectors, honouring all three with top position.

Leading the trophy haul was the new ŠKODA FABIA, which was named Best Small Car 2023 by a panel of road testers and automotive experts. The new FABIA, which was launched last year impressed the panel with its refinement, large cabin and all-round ability. Explaining why the FABIA was a clear winner, Richard Ingram, Editor at Carbuyer said: The latest FABIA is not only Carbuyer's best small car for 2023, it’s also vying for the title of the best value new car currently on sale. Family car space for supermini money, the Fabia is now more compelling than ever."

​The OCTAVIA recorded back-to-back wins to be named Best Estate Car - adding to its remarkable collection of industry silverware in the process. The judges praised the Czech-built load lugger for its practicality, design and value with Richard Ingram adding:  “Some cars just can't be beaten; the OCTAVIA Estate is a model that time and time again tops our rankings as not only our favourite estate car, but one of the best new cars money can buy.”

Completing ŠKODA’s Carbuyer trophy haul was the new KODIAQ, which the judging panel found to be unbeatable in the fiercely competitive Large Family Car category. Comprehensively updated last year with a fresh look and improved equipment levels, the seven-seater Czech SUV cruised to overall victory in the category. Explaining Carbuyer’s decision to award the title to the KODIAQ, Richard Ingram said: "The KODIAQ proves there's plenty of life left in practical petrol SUVs. Putting its users front and centre, the recently updated KODIAQ is spacious, versatile, and full of clever, family-friendly features.”
