Škoda Auto has reached a major milestone, building the 100,000th all-electric Elroq compact SUV less than a year after the model entered series production. The landmark vehicle is a striking Škoda Elroq vRS finished in Mamba Green, underlining the sporty flagship’s role at the top of the Elroq line-up.
As the first production model to showcase Škoda’s new Modern Solid design language, the Elroq is assembled on a highly flexible production line that also builds the Enyaq and the MQB-based Octavia. This allows Škoda to build both battery-electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) models on the same line and react quickly to changing customer demand.
100,000 Elroqs built in under a year
Since the start of production in early 2025, Škoda has produced 100,000 Elroqs at its Mladá Boleslav plant. Hitting this milestone so quickly highlights the strong appetite for Škoda’s new generation of all-electric SUVs – including both the Elroq and the larger Enyaq.
The anniversary model rolling off the line is an Elroq vRS in Mamba Green, combining the bold new Modern Solid design with performance-focused styling and dynamic capability.
“Producing 100,000 Elroqs in under a year of series production is a major achievement for the whole team. It also reflects rigorous preparation and targeted adaptations to our production processes. From the outset, we’ve fully leveraged the flexibility to build battery-electric and ICE vehicles on the same line. The result is clear: the tremendous response from customers highlights the excellent manufacturing quality of cars ‘made in Mladá Boleslav’.”

Among Europe’s best-selling electric cars
In the first three quarters of 2025, Škoda Auto delivered nearly 120,000 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) worldwide. In Europe, both the Elroq and Enyaq ranked inside the top ten best-selling electric cars, with the Elroq taking second place overall and the Enyaq finishing sixth.
The Elroq is currently the best-selling BEV in Škoda’s home market of the Czech Republic, as well as in Denmark and Slovakia. It also ranks among the top three best-selling BEVs in Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland, underlining its broad appeal across Europe.
Strong performance in Germany, Škoda’s largest single market
Germany, Škoda’s largest single market, has been a particular success story for the Elroq. In October 2025 alone, the Elroq was the country’s best-selling electric vehicle, with 3,320 registrations. The model was also Europe’s overall best-selling electric car in April, July and October 2025.
This sales performance is mirrored by a growing list of international awards. As well as claiming the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, the Elroq was recently crowned ‘German Car of the Year 2026’. A jury of 40 leading German and international journalists first selected five class winners from 80 new vehicles before the Elroq was chosen as the overall winner.
The compact SUV scored particularly well for its quality and environmental characteristics, as well as its price-performance ratio, handling and drivetrain – all strengths that make it an attractive choice for private and business drivers alike.
Modern Solid design with everyday practicality
As the first Škoda production model to feature the Modern Solid design language, the Elroq blends clean, confident lines with a robust, practical SUV stance. Inside, the focus is on generous space, smart storage solutions and a user-friendly digital experience – hallmarks that Škoda customers know and expect.
The Elroq vRS adds a performance edge, combining its distinctive styling and sport-inspired detailing with the instant torque and refinement that comes with all-electric power.
