Salary: £25,000.00 plus uncapped commission earning potential
OTE: £40,000.00+

Ingram Motoring Group is a well established, family owned and operated motor group that has taken great pride in serving new and returning customers throughout Ayrshire and beyond for 50 years.

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our team of dedicated sales experts within our Fleet department for a Local Business Development Manager, responsible for promoting and selling vehicles within the local business community. As a Local Business Development Manager, you will be dynamic and results-driven, and responsible for every aspect of the business customer experience.

About the Role:
The purpose of the role is to generate new business with companies running fleets of minimal to considerable amounts of company cars in order to develop profitable relationships, while continuously maintaining and developing returning business with existing customers. With a focus on sales and administrative duties, this role is ideally suited to candidates with previous car sales experience.

Reporting to the Group Fleet Sales Manager, you will take the client from initial enquiry/point of call through to organising delivery and account management. Responsibilities include continuous prospecting and selection of new customers, making appointments and meeting with potential customers, reviewing market trends, identifying opportunities, maintaining an active database of potential business, keeping in touch and building rapport with existing customers while managing your time to approach possible target customers and following through to sale completion and delivery.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be experienced in business-to-business sales and looking for a fresh challenge. Alternatively, you may currently be in a sales role used to prospecting new customers and have the necessary people skills and business acumen to make the transition to the corporate sales arena.

Above all, the successful candidate will be professional, determined, thorough and confident in order to be successful in this competitive environment.

Duties:

  • Actively source new business both by telephone and face to face prospecting
  • Manage a variety of business customer relationships and deliver outstanding levels of customer service
  • Thrive in an autonomous working environment, using your own initiative, with minimal supervision
  • Possess exceptional IT and administrative skills
  • Successfully operate within an established Fleet Sales department, working effectively as part of a team
  • Have a full clean UK driving licence.
